This very hilly segment
runs from Middle Calmar
Road down old Highway
52, back to the new
bridge across Highway 9. |

Speaking of the bridge
construction, the Trout
Run Trail Bridge over
Highway 9 has been
completed. This
means the ENTIRE 11-mile
loop trail is now open! |

Construction of the Trout Run Trail
has been financed
through many local
donations, but also with over $4 million
in state grants. The
project has received
funding from Vision
Iowa, DOT Enhancement,
Iowa Great Places, REAP
and State Trails Grants. |
